Data Subject Request Procedure

A person may use this procedure to exercise rights concerning personal information processed by BlitzBoom Marketplace.

Requests available

• Confirmation of whether personal information is held.
• Access to a record or description of personal information.
• Correction or updating of inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Deletion or destruction where the legal requirements are met.
• Objection to processing on an applicable legal ground.
• Withdrawal of consent.
• Information about relevant recipients or source categories.

How to submit

Email blitzboomwebsites@gmail.com with the subject “POPIA Data Subject Request” and include:

1. Your full name and reliable contact details.
2. The right you wish to exercise.
3. Enough detail to locate the information or listing.
4. The relevant website URL or business folder, where applicable.
5. Reasonable proof of identity or authority to act for another person.

Identity verification

Verification is required to avoid disclosing or changing information for the wrong person. Only information reasonably necessary for verification should be requested. Unnecessary identity document copies should not be submitted unless specifically and securely requested.

Assessment and response

Requests will be acknowledged and assessed under POPIA, PAIA and other applicable law. Access or deletion may be refused or limited where a lawful ground applies, including legal privilege, another person’s rights, statutory retention, security or the establishment and defence of legal claims.
