Marketplace Listing Policy
Eligibility
A listing should represent a genuine business, professional, organisation or service with a working website and lawful offering. Inclusion is discretionary and does not create an endorsement.
Required standards
- Business identity and contact information must not be materially misleading.
- Descriptions, keywords and category data must accurately reflect the website.
- Logos and media must be authorised and must not infringe third-party rights.
- Websites must not distribute malware, facilitate fraud or promote unlawful offerings.
- Listings must comply with applicable advertising, consumer, privacy and industry rules.
Automated metadata
The marketplace may derive a title, description, keywords and logo from files in a website folder. Listing owners
should maintain an accurate marketplace.json file. A listing may be hidden by setting
"visible": false or "private": true.
Ranking
Search ranking may consider keyword matches in folder names, titles, descriptions and metadata. Placement is not a certification of quality. Sponsored placement, if introduced, must be clearly identified.
Corrections and removal
An authorised business representative may request correction or removal by using the Complaints & Takedowns procedure. Verification may be required.
